Privacy Policy
The organization Alpine Rescue Swiss referred to below
as ARS. This data protection declaration is aimed at rescuers, support staff of
ARS and partner organizations who work for ARS for a fee (hereinafter
“employees” or “you”).
The ARS takes the protection of the privacy of its
employees seriously. When processing your personal data, it adheres to the
applicable data protection law and any additional labor law requirements
regarding the processing of personal data. This data protection declaration is
designed to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act of Data Protection (FADP).
With this data protection declaration, we inform you
about the scope, purpose and manner in which ARS
processes your personal data.

Which personal data is processed?
2.1 Generally
We collect and process the following categories of
personal data: In addition to the last name and first name, the email address,
date of birth, telephone number, function, specialist functions and information
about the rescue station are stored in the database.
2.2 When
using the ARS Mobile app
If you download the ARS Mobile app onto your private
mobile device, the following data from the AVER database will be copied to your
mobile device: first name, last name, date of birth, mobile phone number,
function, specialist function, system authorizations and stations. As soon as
you have accepted the mobile deployment via the ARS mobile app, your location
will also be recorded via GPS and regularly transmitted to an ARS server system
for the duration of the assignment.

For what purposes does ARS process your personal data?
3.1 Generally
The ARS uses this personal data to clarify whether you
meet the requirements as a rescuer and to establish and process the contractual
relationship between you and the ARS, to plan, conduct and document training
courses in which you participate, to carry out the Rescue operations and to
clarify the remuneration and billing for rescue operations.
3.2 When
using the ARS Mobile app
The data stored and processed in the ARS Mobile app is
used to send you to a rescue mission. If you accept the mobile deployment via
the ARS Mobile app, your data will be processed for the organization and
implementation of the deployment. For this purpose, in addition to the
operations center, the person in charge of the operation also has access to
your data, which is mentioned in section 2.2, via the ARS mobile app. All other
rescuers involved in the operation have access to your name and telephone number
so that they can contact you directly.

Who processes the personal data?
ARS stores all personal data in electronic form on
servers in Switzerland.
As part of the contract processing, third parties are
also involved who process your data on behalf of ARS. In addition to the Swiss
Air Rescue Rega, this includes other external service
providers. The ARS contractually ensures that these service providers only
process your data for the stated purposes and only in the way that the ARS is
permitted to do so.
In addition, the data will be forwarded to the
relevant rescue station to clarify your suitability as a rescuer and to plan
and carry out the operations. They process your data under their own
responsibility and not as ARS contractors.
5.
How long is the personal data kept?
ARS retains your data for as long as it is needed for
the purposes stated in this data protection declaration. Your personal data
will be retained beyond this time frame if ARS has a legal retention obligation
or can demonstrate its own overriding interest in further processing your data.
If this is not the case, your data will be deleted.
